RV-VTOL25 ROTARY WING UAS PLATFORM

Capable Platform-

.

The RV-VTOL25 “Explorer” has been designed to be a flexible multi-role unmanned system fto meet a wide variety of civil missions, from Civil Defence to artic meteorology to oil & gas explorations. The helicopters features three payload sections.

.

1) Mission Bay and Underslung Payload

The helicopter features a unique closed Mission Bay on the ventral fuselage section that can be configured in a number of alternative layouts. The volume has been designed to carry a native 19” 3U rack for compact PCI, VME bus cards or custom size mission computers, electronics and syntetic aperture radars or laser scanners. The on-board 250 W generator assure enough electric power, even for the most demanding mission computers.

Removing the mission bay floor panel, and installing a hook and release unit, the RV-VTOL25 “Explorer” is capable of transporting up to 15 kg of slung payload.

.

2) Imaging Sensors

The removeable nose section is dedicated to carry image sensors. Standard equipment is the Multi Mode Imaging System-20 (MMIS-20) that features a day/night E/O sensor, IR sensor and a laser rangefinder, or custom sensors, like megapixel or multispectral cameras. For broadcast and movie filming requirements, a special camera mount will be installed instead of the MMIS-20 nose section.

.

3) Stub Wings

The RV-VTOL 25 “Explorer” has also adopted pylon attached payloads on two removeable stub wings. This are available for installing special tracking antennas for Search and Rescue, external fuel tanks, search lights or air sampling payloads.
